The Sterling at Prairie Trail

Phase I

Phase I is 4 first-class, three story buildings with 30 units each and tuck under garages. Additional stand alone garages are also complete. Phase I opened for initial move ins in April 2017. These units experienced a fast lease up with close to 100% occupied in June 2017.

These units are built to SB Communities standard with tucked-under, interior parking garages that open to the inside of the building, eat in kitchens with quartz counter-tops, key fobs, and high speed fiber internet with community WiFi.

Proud to be a part of the Prairie Trail community, Ankeny continues to experience explosive growth. The District is the hub of entertainment with the Plaza Shoppes and Hy-Vee adjacent to the east providing a full range of services. Walk, bike or short drive to work, school, and downtown Des Moines. Phase IA

Construction started in March 2017 on an upscale, three-story, 72-unit, multi-family building with a central core clubhouse, elevator and gym. The clubhouse is the office for onsite management, resident floater work space and access to the pool.

In May 2018, the 72-plex opened to near full occupancy. Town homes open in June and July.

The resort style pool complex is under construction and will open in 2019.

Phase II

The Sterling begins  more construction in 2019 for the remainder of the Prairie Trail campus. This is on the land to the west, along Oralabor Road.

Town homes will be constructed along the north rim of the property. This offers a buffer to the homes in the master plan Prairie Trail neighborhood, as well as, an exceptional alternative to the traditional apartments offered at The Sterling. These town homes are ideal for single family, newlyweds, down-sizing, or for anyone that having the advantages of town home living is important.

Town home residents will have access to all the community amenities. This includes the full gym, pool and clubhouse.

There will be new apartments and free standing garages. The mix of apartments will be studio, 1- and 2-bedroom.

Phase II will be completed in 2020.
